A quarter of Africa’s young people are either out of work or not in education. Our mission as the British Council is to work with the youth and create opportunities to improve their skills, encourage entrepreneurship and promote social enterprise to address some of the continent’s development challenges.
We extend our reach and impact through partnerships and this week we have partnered with a number of civil society groups and institutions to reach out to the in and out of school youth through the DIGYFY BYTES programme.
The programme offers participants an opportunity to accelerate their knowledge of digital marketing and development of an on-line strategy. It is designed to showcase the wide range of opportunities available through digital and social media and impart skills on self-branding, digital literacy and job preparedness
Gaborone Institute of Professional Studies (GIPS) will be hosting the programme as part of their corporate social responsibility programme. Delivery of the programme is by a facilitator from Livity Africa.
