Important information on COVID-19 for British Council customers and partners

Following recent directives from the Government of Botswana, the British Council has limited our operations with several restrictions in place until further notice. They are as follows:

Examination services

IELTS

To protect the health of IELTS test takers in light of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), IELTS tests have been suspended in Botswana until further notice.

Affected test-takers will be eligible for a transfer or refund by contacting our centre via email ielts.exams@britishcouncil.org.bw

PROFESSIONAL AND UNIVERSITY EXAMS 

  • CIPS Membership Registrations, Institute of Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFOA) and other University exams have also been suspended until further Notice.

SCHOOL EXAMS 

  • Cambridge School exams for May and June 2020 have also been suspended due to Covid-19 until further notice.

Programmes in arts, education and society

Our work in arts and programmes has been suspended until further notice. 

Our work in scholarship administration continues through online platforms. Relevant stakeholders have been supplied with details  of contact persons and numbers.
